George
DIRECTOR OF DESIGN
I’m George O’Brien, I am the Director of Design here at MSA Architects. I currently work directly with George Mouriz, founder of MSA. I have a Master’s degree in architecture from FIU (Go Panthers!).
I was born in the beautiful country of Peru but raised in the 305 since the age of 7. I have two older siblings who are 5 and 4 years older than me, making me the favorite, or the mistake… I grew up playing sports, riding bikes and drinking water straight from the hose. Surprisingly I’ve never broken a bone, just several sprains and a few stitches, not bad for the wild child I was growing up.
A Fun fact about me is that throughout my years in college I worked in the Everglades full-time. I learned to drive airboats, give people tours and teach them about the Everglades, which is a river by the way, not a swamp! I got to jump on top of alligators, feed them and brush algae off their bodies… I can name most, if not all birds native to the Everglades and I’m full of interesting facts about the River of Grass which is what “Everglades” stands for. You’re welcome.
